Other Things
Here is where I will post other things; sometimes ramblings, sometimes poems. If one is going to be published, I will take it down from here.
Inkwater
I wrote this poem while sitting on a bench at Lake Chincoteague, VA. This poem is mainly an alliteration and rythm exercise, but the lake was an inspiration. The lake was so gorgeous, but my mind was far from that. As I penned descriptions of the reservoir, I imagined my ink polluting the fresh water. It was like I was poisoning the water by writing about it.
shimering shoreline
placidly paces
withering water
dwindles downstream
provisional peace
slipping serenely
macabre marbles
dauntingly drifting
obtruding ocean
briskly blackening
inky immersion
surely stifling
